Quote:New Jersey confirms F1 grand prix from the 2013 season

New Jersey governor Chris Christie confirmed on Tuesday the state will host a Formula 1 grand prix from 2013, as reported by AUTOSPORT last weekend.

Christie said the race will take place on a 3.2-mile street circuit, running on existing roads through Port Imperial and at the top of the Palisades in Weehawken and West New York.

I don't know, I'm not so sure having two races in America is the best idea. For sure, it could potentially be a huge market for F1 but it's been what, 61 years now and to this day F1 still hasn't broken America...what's to say it's going to be any different now.

That said, I am a little more excited about the prospect of this race than the one in Austin...I think it woud nearly have been better to have the New Jersey one up and running before bringing Austin into it too. Don't really know where the logic for that comes from, I think that this race may be a bit more high profile than Texas and could've attracted more American fans.

Anyways, we've got two American races from 2013...either way should be interesting to see how it unfolds Yes
Hmmm I see, another track huh? HmmmHmmm let's see HmmmHmmm
America should have no F1 tracks, they only care for their useless 2nd rate sports in which they are the sole competitors with maybe their pals the Canadians, and they call those the world championships. Whocares

Give it a few more years and the Chinese will take the top spots in the Olympics too, US's over grown apes and bio-engineered drugged athletes wont matter anymore.

The interest here though is just how much is the scumbag Bernie making out of this deal? Be will probably back stab the US promoters like he is going to do with Korea.
I've read in an article that they want to put a limit at tracks-the teams-and from one team(can't remember which) they said that 20 races is the average for the teams' crew. And they are right. These people will spend all their lives in airplanes.
^^ Yeah, team personal have families and lives too, they are not robots. They need breaks and vacations from sport or else they will become unproductive and burn out of ideas.

Well, in that case, Ferrari's engineers should go on the longest vacation ever....they've been unproductive and burnt out of ideas for some time now Laugh

I agree, America doesn't really need two tracks even if for no other reason other than another track will have to disappear to make room for it, most likely a classic track like Spa....though there was also talk of running the two Spanish Grands Prix on alternative years, that I could live with Yes
And there goes GP Austin. They are bickering between themselves in typical American fashion. Law suits, counter law suites, counter claims etc etc. Pathetic bunch.

Bernie is ready to bring down the axe on this one.

Well we never we missed ya Whocares
