i think it's ok
at least we'll have 19 races and also bahrain is still the 1st one!!
A pretty early start aswell on March 12th - I like

We must wait only 4 and 1/2 months for next season, not 5 xD
lol such a small gap but a day without f1 is always longer than usual routine

Good riddance!
Donington misses the final and very last deadline to correct the contract breach (was it even a surprise?)
Now that pesky old fart will have to agree with Silverstone and get a deal with them that doesn't involve broad daylight extortions of race promoters like this fart does with new tracks like Singapore, Valencia Abu Dhabi.

Damn i was hoping for Donnington to get back on the F1 calender.
Oh well muddy fields for parking again me thinks

But if it was donington, the drivers will racing in a 'muddy field'. Thats the problem.
Better have a place with a proper race track even if other aspects are not upto scratch.
yes..
we all will miss F1 and especially alonso...
good that am watching football too!!
Better to have Silverstone, the problem with Silverstone this year is they are making too much restriction over downforce ans thus makign the overtaking possible track like Silverstone become so boring race. But much better than Donnington.
Whitmarsh: British GP would be huge loss
Quote:Silverstone sources have indicated that the track will only commit to a deal with Bernie Ecclestone if the commercial terms make sense - and the two parties remain some distance apart on the finances so far.
Hopefully Silverstone remain. Is a good track, we can not afford to see all the best track goes. It will make the F1 look really boring.
Good riddance shall we say?
Donington wouldn't make it anyway even if they started now with 200million to spare. Time has run out for work to begin and with salaries sky high in the UK for labor work unlike the peanuts they pay the poor souls from Pakistan, Sri-lanka India Indonesia etc. its impossible now.
The ball is the old fart's court not in the BRDC's, the BRDC should not be allowed to be bullied into paying extortion rates as promoting fees for the race every year. For once BRDC are right they shouldn't pay ridiculous amounts to bernie to host a race.
Bernie is obviously trying to praise Abu Dhabi iin trying to bruise BRDC's ego. but the BRDC know they have bernie right where they want him. they can say no and bernie will have to oblige
Bernie can say all he wants that there may not be a silverstone or British GP in 2010, but talk is cheap and he cant dare do it , to many stake holders will have his arse for a "
more of ze punishment" ride

Silverstone will make it, i dont think he has the gut to do so, although he keep saying to BRDC's court he doesnt mind to loose the track, to me he is just trying to pulling leg, already we have track like turkey where all the empty seats are visible. valencia too... if they are loosing Silverstone they are gone..
That would be a shame if it came to it but the only thing uk is good for at the moment is producing cars nothing else lol
Montreal set to confirm GP deal
Quote:The Canadian Grand Prix at Montreal is set to be confirmed on the 2010 Formula 1 calendar on Friday.
Montreal mayor Gerald Tremblay and provincial cabinet ministers will hold a news conference later today and are expected to announce the official return of the race, absent from the calendar this season.
Canada was already listed on the provisional calendar for 2010, pending the finalisation of an agreement with Formula One Management.
Today's news will mean the Montreal race will take place on June 13 next year.
Autosport just confirmed that the Montreal local officials held an afternoon press conference to announce the return of the Canadian GP for at-least the next 5 years.
This comes under probably reduced holding fees to that greedy Neocon Bernie. But it is still a high price for any venue to pay just to hold the damn GP.
Someone must seriously assassinate or get rid of this filthy Nazi sympathizing worm.
