Monaco GP secures new 10-year deal

Quote:The Monaco Grand Prix has secured a new 10-year deal to remain on the Formula 1 calendar and will return to its late-May slot on the 2011 schedule.

A recent aside from Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone suggesting the sport could do 'without' the Monte Carlo street race, which dates back to 1929, had led to widespread media coverage questioning the Monaco GP's future, despite Ecclestone underlining that he had no intention of removing the race from the schedule.

Ecclestone and Automobile Club de Monaco president Michel Boeri met in London today and completed the new deal, which runs through to 2020.

Next year's race has also been scheduled for 29 May

Nothing really significant, just for you all information only Smile
Hardly shocking.....Bernie was never going to get rid of the most famous F1 race 001_rolleyes
old man is losing skill at bluffing.
btw, what happens with F1 management when he dies?

this reminds a spanish proverb:

"mala hierba nunca muere"

"bad weed never dies"

Hmmm When he die? Thats the independence day in F1 history
Rather when he dies the bulllshit tracks with lots of money will go away and the ones with more heritage and tradition will be back, even if for lesser money. The nazi lover needs to be assassinated in a painful way.
