Button adamant McLaren will be stronger ( Click here for full story )

Quote:"The biggest threat this weekend? You'd have to say the Red Bulls, and the Ferraris, they were so quick in Bahrain," he said during a promotional event for Vodafone in Melbourne on Tuesday.

"I think we will be a lot closer here, this circuit should suit us quite well. Lewis has had a good time here before and I have, it's treating us well this circuit so hopefully we can get a good result."

When asked to explain why he was optimistic about McLaren doing better, Button said: "Because I know it will. This circuit is a low downforce circuit and that should suit us reasonably well, so I am excited about racing here. I think we can have a much better race. I am excited, and if I didn't think the car was good I wouldn't be."

Button also believes that local hero Mark Webber will put on a better show this weekend than he did in Bahrain - when a mistake in qualifying effectively scuppered his chances of fighting for the podium.

"I think he will be quick here," said Button. "I don't think you saw the best of Mark in Bahrain. I think he will be more competitive here in front of the home crowd, so hopefully for him he will have a good weekend, for me I hope he doesn't!

"It's competitive and I think the first race for him wasn't that great, but I think he will be quick here. He is quick and he is dedicated and that is the thing about Mark, he is very focused."

While Mclaren are clear a fast car at Bahrain, Button admit their biggest competitor is RBR , they better make sure the Australian GP are whole lots of fun, i dont want to waste time and watch another deadly boring race like Bahrain... else i will turn into zombie soon...

Meanwhile .......

Webber are super confident to get a victory here at his own country ...

Webber sure Red Bull will be top again ( Click here for full story )

Quote:Although Vettel's spark plug problem in Bahrain has prompted fresh questions about Red Bull Racing's reliability record hampering a title bid – Webber says he is bullish about the situation.

"Yeah we had a few niggles on Friday, but Ferrari had a lot of plates spinning in that race too in terms of things going on in the background," he said. "So who left that race with a perfect weekend with all the boxes ticked? I don't think many people did.

"Of course it was a frustrating race [for Vettel], not even a clear failure, a failure that was on and off, so that was a big pill for the boys to swallow having had such a big build up, but fortunately it is not like the Olympics – we won't have to wait four years for the next opportunity.

"We've got another two weeks, here we are again, but we are also mindful of the fact that we are trying to put a campaign together – we want to put together a few championships."
I'm really looking forward to the Australian GP, but as always, it does nothing for my beauty sleep.

I admire Webbo alot, but I don't think he'll win this weekend. I think it'll be between the Ferraris, Vettel and Hamilton, not exactly insightful I know but that's my boring prediction..........
In australia will expected rain.OU W00t
Apologies for dragging up the past here, but I thought this was interesting....

Quote:Hamashima reckons that Fernando Alonso was actually the man who did the best job with the tyres – with the rubber on his Ferrari in brilliant shape at the end of the race.

"Fernando Alonso – fantastic! His taking care of tyres was tremendous. Great. Fernando was still looking very good."
