According to some reports issued by Europa Press, the Spanish pilot of the Cavallino Scuderia will debut at the hands of Ferrari car on 1 February in Valencia.

The news agency has said that the official presentation will take place alongside the other teams at the end of winter testing to take place in the capital of the Turia.

Apparently, Fernando Alonso will be exercised with your new car during the three day test at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia( Spain), located 20 kilometers from the city, in Cheste. and I will stay, of course!!!!

That is why this news is mostly doubtful, the real news is that the testing will commence on 1st Feb, with every team allowed 1 car at the track. So it maybe that after Massa tests the car Fernando will take to the car later in the same day. More like sharing the car.

It makes no sense for the team to run Fernando at first who hasn't driven the F60 for a direct and immediate first impression when they they have Felipe Massa who can do that.

The source for all of them as they have claimed is Europa press. Thats the problem its the same source.

There are claims that Stefano confirmed that Massa would be taking the first drive of the new car (only logical).

Mike can you get any confirmation on this? It seems Stefano alluded to this in his public chat with the fans. Got the wind of this one at autosport forums in a google search. But cant find any transcripts to support this.

I heard that too, but know one seems to be able to provide a direct quote and it's not mentioned on this article about the chat http://www.ferrari.com/English/News/Page...icali.aspx

So for the moment I will treat it as a strong rumor, but it seems likely & I wouldn't be suprised if it is indeed true.
