F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone has said he does not expect two of the new teams - US F1 and Campos - to be on the grid in 2010.
Four new teams have been granted entry to next year's championship, but Ecclestone told The Times he thought US F1 and Campos would not be in a position to race by the start of the season. "I think the people we expected to perform will and those that we thought wouldn't, won't," he told the paper. There has been speculation for some time that US F1 would not be ready in time, as the team has remained relatively quiet since the FIA granted it a place in F1 2010. The team still hasn't confirmed its drivers, but has paid the US$440,000 entry fee to race next year. Campos has signed Bruno Senna as a driver for 2010 and has been in talks with a number of other drivers. However, it has made clear that it does not have the resources to pay big money. Its chassis is being manufactured by Dallara and has already passed two of the FIA's mandatory crash tests, suggesting it is well on the way to being ready. Ecclestone told the paper he thought 24 cars would be on the grid at the start of the season. With US F1 and Campos there would be a total of 26 cars in Formula One, indicating that Ecclestone thinks another new team could take the place of the two he expects to leave. RE: Ecclestone has doubts over US F1 and Campos
As you have seen the videos I have posted about US F1's secret discussions between Peter and Ken in the Funny videos section. They are very confident about their Toasters. They have also plans to sign the world renowned an unbelievably precocious talent of the nobody named Jose Maria Lopez.
Remember everybody, Jose Maria Lopez, he is so great that just nobody even recognizes him, that is the blinding effect of his mesmerizing oozing talent... The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. Aryton SENNA, the 1 and ONLY I'll be there to personally to slap michael shoe-licker when the "Farting Horse" empire falls and its years of cheating exposed.

RE: Ecclestone has doubts over US F1 and Campos
Lets see when it happens, then I will definitely applaud them for the first real step. Although I have seen the videos of their factories and the work going on, they have already built the chassis so that is real atleast.
But they have no good drivers signed up yet.

USF1 have been given special dispensation to have two extra days of straight line testing in 2010 as opposed to the agreed 4 straight-line testing days that the other teams will observe. So USF1 has 6 days to test this way.
Or they can exchange one of these days for 4 hours on the windtunnel running. They have been allowed to test in the USA (Alabama) instead of going to Europe and joining the others (cost savings for the new team) Thats a decent amount of favors already, they better make good use of all this generosity. Because if in the end if it turns out that they cant get to make the whole season, they will be nothing more than jerks. The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. RE: Ecclestone has doubts over US F1 and Campos
Their car was very plain and hardly any detail in the videos I saw of them designing the car parts in CFD. They also had a large plot of their concept car on the wall. It is a stretch to expect much as changed from that base model. It was simple, but we don't know anything about their diffusers or suspension details yet.
Making their own gearbox is an achievement in itself, but reliability is what matters. The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. RE: Ecclestone has doubts over US F1 and Campos
There are some stories by an anonymous USF1 engineer who has gone public with the account of their troubles. Its a really sorry state of affairs over at USF1
But it seems Chad Hurley is the white knight who can possibly save the operation maybe no not as USF1 but atleast retain their jobs. They have 60 odd jobs to think off. A collaboration/merger with Stefan GP or Campos Meta F1 is also on the cards. But its a shame for the USA that they cant have the US name on it anymore if these mergers do happen. However retaining jobs is more important than the name factor. ---> Read the sorry story of USF1 here <--- Autosport is also reporting on an unannounced FIA visit to the USF1 factory at Charolette, North Carolina More here "Pechito" Jose Maria Lopez is in talks with Campos Meta, it looks like the USF1 and Campos team merger is close to reality. This means no more USF1, which also means Stefan GP can take the final 13th team slot that would have no come vacant. There will be egg on Ferrari's faces for all the whining. RE: Serious crisis over at US F1 and Campos maybe saved by Bernie
Just look how some at USF1 are playing dirty. Stefan GP's Zoran Stefanovic has admitted Youtube co-founder Chad Hurley approached Stefan GP for a merger or some sort of deal where they could save USF1's 60 odd staff from being jobless very soon. But the talks collapsed as someone sabotaged it. You can almost guess its Ken Anderson, the same day dreamer who is trying to silence his own engineers for speaking out about USF1 beyond dire state of affairs.
The FIA must simply kill USF1 off for good, ether way those 60 engineers are doomed to look for new jobs, USF1 will not make it on their own, thats a given. Giving them the luxury to miss the first 3 races is a travesty as its 110% sure they will not make it even after that grace period. All they gain is delaying a ready team like Stefan and making them loose 3 races where they can score valuable constructor's points. They are after all using Toyota's 2010 car, it will be definitely good enough to score points out of the box and who knows maybe even podiums. As for the drivers its close to official: Kazuki Nakakjima and Jacques Villeneuve. If totally bullshit drivers like Jamie Crash-guru-suari or some other clowns can come race crash cars or take others off the track, a pensioner like JV can be considered a super star. RE: BREAKING NEWS: US F1 has closed down
Thats it US F1 is dead, about time they let those employees go and get a real job, Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor should be ashamed of themselves for ruining perfectly good jobs these employees had prior to joining this futile F1 operation.
This must be gratifying for Europeans to have a good laugh at American engineering and their inability to field even a slow team. The US motorsport associations should have stepped in and stopped them from even applying because it was clear from the start they were lying. At first they gave the impression they had loads of money. But thats when the employees started giving interviews and started coming clean on the sponsorship situations. Then recently came the sabotaging by Ken or Peter or maybe both when Chad Hurley tried to save the 60 odd jobs at US F1 by holding talks with Stefan GP. The idiots at FIA must now let Stefan GP race but there is another group of imbeciles at Ferrari who seem to be hell bent on stopping Stefan racing with what is obviously a decent and good Toyota chassis. RE: BREAKING NEWS: US F1 has closed down & Campos becomes Hispania Racing
More on this as Jose maria Lopez's Managere points the figure clearly at Ken Anderson. Why are we not surprised.
More here Meanwhile the signs of destruction are starting to emerge since Hispania racing/Campis has hired that trouble maker and pile crap named Colin Kolles to be team principal. This faggot has caused troubled at Force India which is they had to boot him out. Looks like Hsipania Racing is filled with morons who dont do background checks on who they hire. Bruno Senna will be forced out by the politics this arshole plays at every team he goes to. The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. RE: BREAKING NEWS: US F1 has closed down & Campos becomes Hispania Racing
The faggots at FIA have put out this statement
Quote:The USF1 Team have indicated that they will not be in a position to participate in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship. Having considered the various options, the FIA confirms that it is not possible for a replacement team to be entered for the Championship at this late stage. They are not allowing Stefan GP to race. The politics is still the same as it was before, FIA trying to push a out a team who challenged their underhanded and shady selection process.
