Seems like the new circuit is fine on the asphalt with nothing coming out of the ground like it was in Canada last year, given how poor Indian road construction has been over the decades due to rampant corruption and adulterated road work materials being used in the process.

But a stray dog did make its VIP visit to the track causing a stoppage. They need to watch it too we can all understand.

Th track is pretty much green and dusty with big gains as more more and laps are done and more rubber gets laid down on the track. The last attempts were scuppered for many by running into traffic in S3.

Alonso had what looked like a transmission failure. Maldonado blew an engine and Jaime Crashgurusuari, just well crashed.
