Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
Ferrari where told by FIA not once not twice but three times to give that place back. So they did get the advice before the penalty. And Ferrari doesn't deny it either they have now come clean that they took it upon themselves to ignore the FIA advice. Hence they got the penalty. Serves them idiots right.

They are the ones ruining Alonso's chances everytime apart from ome of Alonso's costly mistakes. Perhaps Alonso needs to cut short this deal with these monkeys and leave them for a better team that can actually execute strategy and play smart. The prancing donkeys are a waste of time now.

More on this blunder here

RE: Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
Yeah, great idea tension.....but where's he going to go...Red Bull - with wonderboy Vettel there? Eh, no. McLaren - bridges are well and truly burned there so that's another no...Renault - third time lucky - don't think so....Mercedes are booked up for the next couple of years if I'm not mistaken and they seem pretty keen on their Germans anyway so that's out - Where else? Williams? Force India? Toro Rosso? Lotus?

I know you have a rampant dislike for Ferrari - lately, I'm not all that keen on them either, but like it or not, there's realistically nowhere else to go - so maybe you could tone down your opinions on them coz right now it's just too much negativity and for me it's depressing No

RE: Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
He cant leave right now, but there are possibilities in the 3 years he signed for being a 2 + 1 with the last year as an option. If they dont get their act together next year then he may well put himself on the market once more. There are teams that will readily take him then because other things can change in the meantime for the other drivers in those teams.

Unbelievable...This team was a s***t team from last year...No, no. Since Schumacher left they are like that! Maybe they need to have a driver to work only on him after all to work properly. Equality, like when Raikkonen was there, just doesn't suit them...
They are not the team I supported for years now and I agree that maybe he has to think of cutting his contract with them if they go on like that... Jerks... Champions' destroyers.. Thumbdown

I just can't see where he could go where the situation would be any better - and I get the feeling that no matter where he goes, it'll still be the same.....I think Fernando is right when he says he'll finish his career at Ferrari, I just think that the end will be sooner than he thought No

After the past three years, just seems he's not destined to win anymore Crying

RE: Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
Marc Gené is spanish Ferrari f1 tester and commentator, with Lobato:

LOBATO - running on the exterior, they are matched, wheel-to-wheel, they could touch, fernando has to widen.. he cuts the chicane
GENÉ - but kubica gave him no room,
LOBATO - ayy ayyy (hesitation/fear)
GENÉ - he had no other option
LOBATO i dont like this at all.. in Valencia... (he clearly expects a penalty of some sort hehe)
GENÉ - makes a sharp right at the exit to avoid contact...

that was LaSexta live comment

this was a beautiful duel Kubica vs Alonso.
who was to penalty, if, and how much? i dont know. besides those rules are manipulated shit.
probably one of those infamous reprimands for kubica forcing off-track, some 5s to alonso at end of race. 10s? whatever.
but i do know the penalty he got was too much, and the timing of it... an insult:

charlie threatens with his almighty opinion
kubica retires
...
...
debris on track
investigation announced
sc out
penalty issued

RE: Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
i have to agree with chrissie here...

i really don't know what's wrong!!

where can fernando go if he leaves ferrari???

and we all know how great r ferrari.... is it just bad luck or what can we name it here???

alonso is always angry and even when on the poduim he doesn't look happy!!!

i guess no one expected redbull to be that strong this season and alonso was just dreaming to be the champ again with ferrari...

but some times real life makes u dissatisfied!!!

and yes ferrari were sooooooo bad for several seasons now with stupid silly mistakes :(

Time is like a RIVER. You cannot touch the same water twice, becoz the flow that has passed will never pass again.

Well, if Ferrari are right and if they do have evidence to back this up, it reflects pretty badly on Mr. Whiting 001_rolleyes

I mean, look at this

Quote:Rivola asks: 'Is this the decision?'

Whiting replies: 'No, but that's how we see it.'

I can see how Ferrari might have been a little unsure about what to do....

RE: Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
Whiting followed protocol he alone cannot say "it is the decision". That is for the stewards to approve and ratify officially. Charlie as race director did his part and gave his opinion that they should give it back. Thats as good as a warning gets.

These details actually prove Ferrari was deliberately try to stall the matter by waiting for Kubica to drop behind and Alonso overtaking a few other cars. They did that trying to argue they would loose more places trying to give the position back. They should know the simple rule, cutting a chicane or track to gain an advantage is illegal. It doesn't matter if you had room or not if you were run off or not. That is another matter all together.

They deserved the penalty even more now, infact they got off lightly they should have been given a stop go penalty.

RE: Ferrari farts exposed - FIA acknowledges they warned Ferrari to let Kubica through
The way I see it, there were doubts over the legality of the move, Ferrari asked for advice and were told that to give the place back was not (yet) the decision of the stewards but what Whiting thought they should do....

The thing is here, that what Whiting thinks and what the stewards decide can often be very different (see Spa 2008)...I can see why Ferrari thought that maybe they would be OK.....I mean, you see there that Charlie also says that it will be discussed after the race - only for it to be announced shortly after that they were going to get a drive through....

I'm not trying to defend Fernando/Ferrari here, they still should have given the place back, but come on, you could see why they tried to get away with it and they were getting pretty mixed messages from Race Control....

The problem with this is it is taking the stewards too long to make the decisions and as I pointed out earlier, Mr. Whiting's views are not always the same as the stewards......all three parties (Whiting, Ferrari and the stewards) had a part to play in the farce that was this penalty 001_rolleyes

And btw, I don't think you could say they got off lightly, the drive-through alone put Alonso essentially last Laugh

No contradictions

Quote:13:31:05 The overtaking move takes place at Club and after one second Rivola calls Whiting, who replies after 11 seconds. Rivola asks: 'Have you seen the pass? In our opinion there was no room to overtake.'

26 secs after the pass, Whiting asks to be given time to watch the TV footage.

13:33 Ferrari makes a second radio call - 1m55s after the pass. Alonso has completed another lap plus one sector, and is behind Nico Rosberg and Jaime Alguersuari, while Kubica drops further back.

Whiting tells Ferrari that the stewards think Alonso could give the position back. Rivola asks: 'Is this the decision?'

Whiting replies: 'No, but that's how we see it.'

Fast enough response after seeing the footage. The warning was given. So its your rose tinted Ferrari glasses that is the problem here

Ferrari farts and their dumb fans will never get it or admit it. Hmmm

The rules are clear on cutting chicanes or track to gain a position, whining about it saying you were run off or given no room is a lame Ferrari style moan as usual. They tried to get away with it and they couldn't. Deal with it.

That is true but Ferrari and their loyal legion of fools will never get it that they screwed up big time and they waste too much time trying to justify everything they do like all their mistakes are divine acts. In the end it changes nothing they were idiots period. Hmmm The sooner they learn to shut up and learn to play smart and by the books the better the chances of not looking totally outclassed by teams who are ahead.
