Did you have everything flipped horizontally or just some parts? Also the music industry thugs have also placed a claim on it so it got blocked on two counts.

I heard if you speed up or slow down the music tracks you can beat the audio copyrights.

OK. So, here is my attempt on the F1 video making. Unfortunately, it isn't as good as I would like it to be, but anyway. Tension I flipped some parts, especially the ones with the drivers in the beginning, because it seems really awful when the track and cars are on the wrong side. I don't know. At least at my eyes. If there is a problem with FOM I can flip them all. As for the music, it is a remix and I speed it up, but still has a notice about matching third party content blah blah. Don't mind it. I think that will be all. And finally, I hope you don't mind that in the description box I put a link with my yt link as the "maker" of the video. I can delete it if there is a problem.

Not at all a problem about linking your youtube channel

About the copyright thing, well the tribute video I did with flipping the original horizontally, it does look horrendous and mostly invites dislikes. But unfortunately that appears to the only to way stop them from taking down the video.

Also another thing I have noticed.

Don't include any of F1.com's race edit video footage, those special footage are always submitted to youtube for copyrights matching. Many F1 race videos are still standing because they just have the race videos from their local channels, they didnt use the special F1.com race edit video sequences anywhere.

Also I you intend to use the regular race video without flipping them horizontally, having some fancy graphics on the borders or top or bottom with your name or whatever you want, can skew the histograms and there by making it even harder to track.

All these small details make it possible for the video to less noticed by the copyright system.

I had been doing my own little video (just for myself) that I was thinking of loading up to youtube (if for nothing else other than to see if I can stop it from getting banned, lol) but maybe now I won't bother

BTW, my Spanish GP highlights video still hasn't been removed and all I did with that was put my name over the F1 logo...I don't understand why that hasn't been removed and my Canada video has

BBC's broadcast footage may not be a problem but they too can take it down for DMCA violations if they submit their videos, which i don't think so. But if its FF1.com video footage from the race edits, you can be sure your video will be taken down very very quickly.

Well, this isn't near as good as stef's but here's my european gp highlights video, just to test out to see if I can stop them from removing the videos...don't know if it's going to last long coz all I did was block the F1 logo, but I did add some effects and sped up some bits, slowed down other bits, don't know if it'll help but like I said for some strange reason my Spain video is still there so maybe they'll leave this one alone too. Stef's is still up and running too so maybe we can beat this, I don't know I didn't flip any of the parts of the video because firstly, it didn't stop them from removing my Canada video and secondly, I think it just looks awful...anyways, here it is for anyone interested...



...and stef, don't worry about the views, I told you about my Spanish GP vid...in the two weeks after the race, I think it had a total of like 100-200 views and then in the space of just a couple of days it got more than a thousand views so I don't know maybe people are just a bit slow on the uptake It is a fab video, trust me on that

BTW, apparently the BBC went behind the scenes with Vettel on the filming of the Top Gear lap, they're showing it pre-race tomorrow, looks really good, will post it as soon as I can get my hands on it
