Australia GP Qualifying 2010
Redbull was supreme and Vettel was flaw less on the first lap the 2nd run was scrappy from both drivers but they got the lap done earlier.
Alonso did well to get 3rd but he has the fast starting Mclaren of Button with the stalled wing in a KERSesque low drag acceleration on the start of the race. Nico again beats shumacher but getting every closer to Nico's pace and closing up. Massa struggling on setups and balance he was also used an extra set of softs. The battle between Mercedes vs Mclaren vs Ferrari will be the on to watch if Redbull run off into the distance, they most probably will.
The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. Aryton SENNA, the 1 and ONLY I'll be there to personally to slap michael shoe-licker when the "Farting Horse" empire falls and its years of cheating exposed.

RE: Australia GP Qualifying 2010
personally i think alonso did the best job considering he got so close to the redbulls, and just watched martin whitmarsh say redbull have ride height adjusters
Ferrari are also said to have adjusters but not as sophisticated as Redbulls. Source Quote:Ferrari’s system is manual and very obvious. There have been suggestions that Red Bull has a more sophisticated system, which allows the car to run low in qualifying trim but then raises itself up when the 160 kilos of fuel are loaded in and lowers itself again as the fuel burns off. The key to that is making it legal.

RE: Australia GP Qualifying 2010
Schumacher seeks blocking clarification
Quote:"Basically on my last try, I was slowed down by him," explained Schumacher about Alonso. "I asked him whether the team had told him [I was on a quick lap] and he said no. Is only 2nd race, and he is started to whining now are not him? the same old shoe licker

I'm confused
![]() Which type of blocking is he talking about? The kind where you park your car in the middle of the track??? Or the type of "blocking" we saw in Monza 06??? ![]() Y me ayuda pintar transparente el dolor con su sonrisa Perfer et obdura, dolor hic tibi proderit olim |

RE: Australia GP Qualifying 2010
To be fair to shoelicker he was slowed down by not just those two by others have been slowed down as well, there are many selfish drivers out there who complain when they get slowed down but dont do what they preach when it comes to giving way to others. Pig has done it many times trying to slow people down so that he can start a better timed run. Fernando was held up by a HRT but he may have done the same to someone else.
Traffic is a huge issue at Albert park. Suspension suspicious. James Allen is another of one those press idiots trying to make his own bullshit as he goes along. Dont read technology talk from him if anyone wants to be better informed of the right details. The rules state clearly Quote:10.2.3 No adjustment may be made to the suspension system while the car is in motion. What Ferrari and Redbull are doing and so are some others, is a system of oil pumps controlled by wrench/levers that either drains or pumps oil into the hydraulically controlled ride height adjuster during a pit stop. While a car is stationary you can change the ride height. Not while its in motion. There are no active suspensions in F1 legally. There is no grey area here unlike the slotted rear wing or the double diffusers. The rules are crystal clear. The problem here is that this is nothing new. These ideas have been thrown around in the past but before you could refuel so adjusting the ride height didnt not yield that much an advantage. Now with refuelling ban it is very desirable. But the problem is whatever you've gained in terms of weight advantage you will loose some of it or even most of it, depending on the weight of the pumps and extra equipment to engage such a system on the suspension. When you gain weight they will look for ways to loosing some weight elsewhere and it will be close to the suspension areas inorder to keep the CoG undisturbed as much as possible. This means they will build the suspensions lighter which is a structural integrity risk. No one in F1 designs a part extra strong unless needed to. Everyone is already close to their stress limits on parts, so reducing weight means reliability issues. This is why the gain from such a system will be minimal if any due to weight and also the problems of ruining your reliability. If Redbull and Ferrari are running them they are gaining and loosing at the same time, not very great and hardly something for anyone to be so concerned about. The rest is just unfounded rumours, because if Redbull is caught with Acitive rid height adjusters then its ground for DSQ from the races they competed in so far. I doubt they are so foolish to take this risk, they have a good car already. Some are just jealous

RE: Australia GP Qualifying 2010
Considering all things, I thought Alonso did an amazing job today. Massa had problems clearly but yet again Fernando was the best of the rest.
Red Bull are scarily miles ahead and I think Mercedes are close behind. What's impressive is that Alonso took a car that's probably 3rd in the scale of best car and stuck it on the 2nd row. Best of luck Nando.......I'll be up at 5.00 so see you all in the morning!! ![]() Siempre.......... |
