Button wants to pressure Brawn on contracts
As predicted a while back, Button has the intension to ask for a pay raise. He will be aiming to demand a pay higher than 2008, because in 2009 he agreed to a pay cut to save the team and help in anyway possible.
Now the time has come to not just restore the old pay level but increase it even more. He is world champion and he is in his right to demand that. But from a team principal's point of view, if they can put more money on the table they will do it for driver like Kimi Raikkonen who is now on the market and these drivers don't come by every other day on the shopping list. Which is why brawn is reluctant about not agreeing to the pay rise for button. Button though should be paid higher (any decent title winner should), he did his bit for the title and won it, he thoroughly deserves the extra money. But if you put yourself in the team principal's shoes, you have to think of the long term and the true input level of the car to that success and also consider the fact that drivers as unique as alonso or kimi or vettel dont come by every other day. It may not be a bad idea to leave brawn and join toyota with a high salary for button, getting that 2nd title is very very hard for button with Nico Rosberg around. And plus more competition from the start next year without diffuser politics and other matters, he will not have it easy at all. He would be wise to agree to brawn's demands and stay where he is, but if he really wants money then he should see the best option that will give him that. But money isnt everything in F1. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/79638 The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. RE: Button wants to pressure Brawn on contracts
Well he might agree with low pay in the end, though i wsh to see him make a way for Kimi, but then If Kimi end up at Toyota it is a real pity...

RE: 2010 Driver linup
Previously I mentioned Renault will consider Bruno senna, but no one in the media came up with this even as a rumor, but now Senna himself has admitted to the possibility for a Renault driver following a test this year.
This test will be 'interesting' as officially no testing is allowed until February. The real Mclaren died in 2006, the king is dead, long live the king. RE: 2010 Driver linup
I'm certain that Brawn will find something to bend to there advantage again next year.
Bruno wont be testing the car he will be trying it out not testing it as it is a play on words and someone will try that one. Kimi needs to go to a good team worthy of his skills and not worry about the pay to much just a good car for him to race in without the team being biased against him. Button is pricing himself out of Brawn so will be looking else where toyota would be good if they stay. what more can we say simply the best |

There is a potential shocker for next year since there is no refueling and weight distribution is key. You all heard here first! I will put a detailed analysis as to how this could be exploited as the next scandal to rock F1 2010. I need confirm a few things to be very sure of its scope. RE: 2010 Driver linup
Nick Heidfeld was the forgotten man of the 2010 silly-season, but he could be in the running for a coveted seat at McLaren or Renault.
The Abendzeitung newspaper reports that, with Lewis Hamilton pushing hard against the prospect of sharing a team with Nico Rosberg or Kimi Raikkonen next year, Germany's 32-year-old Heidfeld has emerged as a candidate. "He is the most under rated driver in formula one," McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh, likely to part with Hamilton's current teammate Heikki Kovalainen at the end of the season, is quoted as saying. And Mercedes' Norbert Haug adds: "He (Heidfeld) brings over ten years of consistently strong performances." Germany's Bild newspaper said Heidfeld, who debuted for Prost in 2000 and also raced with Sauber, Jordan, Williams and BMW although never winning a race, is also in the running for the Renault seat currently occupied by Romain Grosjean. who is montagny???? Franck Montagny has been named in connection with Renault's formula one team for a 2010 appointment. With the struggling French-Swiss rookie Romain Grosjean's new place not secure, the authoritative sports daily L'Equipe said Frenchman Montagny's name is being linked with the Enstone based team. Contacted by 20minutes.fr, Montagny confirmed that talks are underway. Last month Montagny, 31 and a former Renault and Toyota test driver who raced for part of 2006 with Super Aguri, was linked with the new start-up team USF1. L'Equipe also mentioned Timo Glock, Adrian Sutil and Jarno Trulli in connection with Renault, who have already signed Robert Kubica to replace the Ferrari-bound Fernando Alonso. Also named in media reports in connection with Renault is Bruno Senna, but it is believed the Brazilian is only in the frame for the 'young driver' test at Jerez in December. RE: 2010 Driver linup
Kimi hold the ticket, he is either to Brawn, Toyota. the other seat for mclaren and reault seem still undecided , for sure Frank Montagy and several others seem a good choice to be a second fiddle perfectly fit for Mclaren and Renault. While i don't think any other team still interested with Nick, i sincerely wish Nick to retire. or should i said "please retired?"

Nico can not be compare to Heikki and Heikki can not be compare to Nick LOL
![]() Heikki seem good when he was with Renault, those day alongside Fisi. But he wasted the years behind piggy. So i did not know how good is him. Nico to Brawn seem 100% what i hope now is Kimi not going to Toyota.

RE: 2010 Driver linup
The talks are 100% true, John Howett doesnt need to lie, Kimi isnt denying Toyota talks either.
But what kimi's manager Roberston does is totally another matter. If he is using Toyota as leverage to get better deals from Brawn for example, that may explain the interest. A team should be insane not try and lure him. RE: 2010 Driver linup
excuse me?? i find it little strange!!
McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh has refused to dismiss reports tipping new world champion Jenson Button to become Lewis Hamilton's teammate in 2010. As 29-year-old Button's dispute with his Brawn bosses over the size of his retainer continues, newspapers including the Daily Mail and the Sun said the 'number 1' could be back on a silver-coloured car next season. The Daily Mail said the British sponsor Vodafone "would welcome the tantalising lineup", and a source at the mobile company added: "Any team would like to have two world champions in their ranks." Another source told the Sun tabloid: "Vodafone would be very keen on the idea." Asked directly about the rumours, Whitmarsh said: "We've talked to a number of drivers. It wouldn't be appropriate to say more than that. "We'll hire the two best drivers available to us as we always have," he added, amid expectations Heikki Kovalainen will not be retained. The newspaper also said Toyota is interested in Button "but he is unlikely to go there". (http://www.yallaf1.com) KEEP SMILING ONE DAY LIFE WILL SMILE BACK |

RE: 2010 Driver linup
Didnt i tell the same thing before? That Button could got to another team like Mclaren and get more money instead of being at Brawn? Button could also go to Toyota if they stay in F1.
Button will mostly not get the money he asks for at Brawn. But this story is from the daily mail, a tabloid people use as toilet wipes. Its credibility is junk.
